The event hosted at UW-Fond du Lac
Over the past few years, Fiesta Hispana has consistently attracted around 400 people to celebrate Hispanic heritage in our community. This year the event will be held on the 17th of November from 11am-4pm. It is open to the public free of charge, and will offer Latin American food, live music, dance performances and an open dance floor. There will be seating and tables to relax and enjoy the food, music and performances.
The event will also feature resource tables and supervised activities for children set up around the dance floor and sitting area, and also lining the entrance hall. To encourage participants to visit all of the booths, we provide children with “passports” to be turned in with a stamp from each booth for a raffle featuring various prizes. This event is family oriented, and all of the entertainment and activities we offer are suitable for people of all ages and cultural backgrounds—EVERYONE is welcome. All of the activities featured offer the participant an opportunity learn about Latin American culture in a way that is fun and engaging.
