Fondy's Luteyn To Play DII Bball

Fond du Lac senior girls basketball player Rachel Luteyn has signed a letter of intent to play college basketball at Division II Missouri Western State. As a junior the 6'2 center averaged 7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks for Fondy. Cardinal girls basketball coach Doug Follis says that the Missouri Western State coaches saw Luteyn playing at a few AAU tournaments this summer and liked what they saw. Coach Follis also says that Luteyn has been a lot more agressive on the floor in practice and has become a leader for the team. Congrats to Rachel! Fondy has lost four starters from last year's FVA championship squad that went 18-0 in the league. They will open the regular season on Monday, November 20th when they host Hortonville at the Fond du Lac Fieldhouse.
