6:25am: Entertainment News: NFL star Jason Taylor had the night's best score of 29 on ABC's Dancing with the Stars while Cristian de la Fuente ended up in the hospital after hurting his arm during his dance...Changes may be coming to American Idol as ratings are starting to slide a bit...Brittany Spears will make a return to the CBS Sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" on May 12th.

6:40am: The History Vault: In 1913 the zipper was patented...In 1961 ABC's Wide World of Sports made its debut...In 1968 Hair opened on Broadway...In 1988 Burt Reynolds married Loni Anderson, they split in 1993...In 1992 riots erupted in Los Angeles when a jury failed to convict four police officers with the video-taped beating of Rodney King. More than $735 million dollars in damage was done.

6:50am: KFIZ News Quiz: Lou Ann Biddick of Fond du Lac won a BBQ Tool Set for correctly knowing that Eric Everson was named the new Fond du Lac School Board President at Monday's Meeting.

Despite the sluggish economy, many Americans are still planning getaways this summer. A survey by Kayak.com has found that although 79% of vacationers will alter their trips do to economic downturns. 41% say that cost-conscious factors most influenced their vacation planning. 18% will base their travel destination on affordable airfare. 16% will look for a place where they can get free lodging from family or friends rather than a hotel. 7% will vacation this summer at a destination they can drive to.

7:50am: A couple's wedding vows took a nasty turn in Pittsburgh. Just after saying their vows, The man and his wife were checking into their hotel suite when they began fighting. Witnesses report that the man gave his new bride a "karate style-kick" whick knocked her to the ground. When a couple came to break up the fight, the brawling bride and groom stopped fighting one another and turned on the helping couple, assaulting them by tossing plants at them.

8:05am: Delta Airlines says that they will raise fares $10 to $40 round trip as a fuel surcharge. United, Delta, and Northwest all posted first quarter losses in the billions of dollars in part because of the spiraling fuel costs.
