6:17am: Marv's Weather: Partly sunny today with a hogh of 73. A chance for rain tonight with a low of 48. Saturday, Sunshine with a high of 67. Sunday, Sunshine wtih a high of 64.

6:24am: Rumors are swirling that Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo and singer Jessica Simpson have split up...Today is the final episode of The Montel Williams daytime talk show. The show ends a 16-year run...FOX TV announced that they will air a two hour "24" movie on November 23rd. The 7th season of "24" will begin next January....Singer Shania Twain and producer husband Mutt Lange are calling it quits.

6:40am: The KFIZ History Vault: In 1866 root beer was invented by Charles Elmer Hires...In 1866 the U.S. nickel was authorized...In 1868 the U.S. Senate failed by one vote to impeach President Andrew Johnson...In 1929 the first Academy Awards were held.

6:50am: KFIZ News Quiz: Scott Holzman of Fond du Lac won a BBQ set for knowing that there were three T-Shirt Winners in the Walleye Weekend T-Shirt Contest.

7:04am: It looks like Americans won't splurge with their tax rebate check. 17.2 million people say they will use that money to pay for gas while 21.2 million people will use it for food staples like bread and milk. The survey was done by the National Retail Foundation.

The Downtown Fond du Lac Farmers Market begins tomorrow. It runs from 6:30am to Noon at Western Avenue and Linden. More information can be found at downtownfonddulac.com.

7:20am: Oran Nehls from the Campbellsport FFA checked into to tell us about their bedding and plant sale. They have a wide range of vegetables and flowers. They are open Weekdays from 8:30am to 4pm, Saturdays from 9am to 1pm, and Sundays from 11am-2pm. It's located at Campbellsport High Schools Greenhouse on County Road V on the North end of the High School. The sale ends on May 25th. For more information contact Mr. Nehls at 533-3811.

7:25am: Celeb Birthdays: Actress Tori Spelling is 35...Actor Pierce Brosnan is 55...Actress Debra Winger is 53...Singer Janet Jackson is 42.

Rich & Mary Hornberg was today's CW Smith Jewelers Birthday Winner. Rich and Mary win a Culvers Frozen Custard Cake and will be entered in a drawing for a $500 gift certificate to CW Smith Jewelers in North Fond du Lac. That will be awarded on December 26th.

7:48am: Lynn Bump of Fond du Lac qualifed to win a pair of tickets to see Barefoot in the Park at the Fireside in Fort Atkinson. Just listen to The Breakfast Club or The Morning Show with Bob Hoffmaster between now and May 30th to qualify.

8:04am: A recent survey found that 94% of married women leave a "Honey-Do" list for their husband, yet 78% say that those tasks don't get done for days, months, and even years. 44% says they end up finishing those tasks themselves. The top item on a woman's "Honey-Do" list for their husband is cleaning out the garage or attic. The survey was done by Mighty Putty.
