Mike McCarthy on Day 1 of the Draft

...Aaron Rodgers is the teams starter and he knows that he is the team's starter and Brohm is coming in as a backup.

...He likes Brohm because he's consistant and will fit into the system well, and he's very polished and can run any set.

...Nelson's virsatility set him apart of the other receivers on the board when they took him at #36 and he'll contribute on special teams.

...He says time will tell if any of the three first day picks can contribute because of the talent ahead of them at their positions, but they fit and will have the opportunity to contribute.

...Patrick Lee will play corner and nickel and he likes his size and aggressiveness and he fits the Packers style of play.

...Nelson will give them a big body-type receiver, but his current crop of receivers are not small.

...He's not sure if the team will have a veteran QB in when Training Camp starts but time will tell.

...They always go by best available player first when they draft, but they do pay attention to both and its a chess match to get the guy in the right spot.

..He liked the new draft structure where the time is shorter between picks and just two rounds on day 1.

....Its good to find a guy like Patrick Lee that fits so well and knows the Packers basic system because he played it in college.
