Packers Take A QB
The Green Bay Packers selected Louisville QB Brian Brohm with their 2nd round pick (56th) overall. Some may scratch there head at this one since they have said Aaron Rodgers is the man in 2008. The bottom line is that Green Bay needed a backup and at #56, Brohm was a great selection.
Brohm could have been a top 10 pick in the 2007 draft but went back to school and now he's a Packer.
It's good to know that Brohm has love for the state media already. In the middle of his initial conference call with about 100 members of the Wisconsin media, Brohm said after about two questions, "I gotta go and do and ESPN interview, I'll call you back" and he was gone. It was one of the greatest moments in my 14 years covering the draft in GB.
