WASHINGTON (AP) - The National Association of Home Builders says
Indianapolis is holding onto its position as number-one among the
most affordable major U.S. housing market. The group's first
quarter Housing Opportunity Index finds that nationwide homes
became more affordable for the third consecutive quarter. Along
with Indianapolis, other markets toward the top of the list were
Youngstown-Warren-Boardman, Ohio-Pa. and Grand Rapids-Wyoming,
Mich. The index tracks the percentage of homes sold in the area that
are affordable for families earning median incomes during the
quarter.

7:18am: Americans are less willing to work abroad than workers in foreign countries. According to a poll by U.S. staffing company Kelly Services, only 37% of American workers would consider moving to another country for a job. The poll found that the U.S. ranked the lowest of the 33 countries surveyed. 59% of those outside the USA said they would be willing to move to another country for work.
Americans may not want to travel out of the country for work, but they like to travel for vacations. According to a TripAdvisor.com survey, 90% of Americans intend to do some travel for leiseure this summer. 52% said they will use at least allotted vacation time in June, July, or August. 23% said they plan to take more vacation days this summer than they did last summer, while 27% said they plan to spend more money on their vacation time this year than than did in 2007. The most popular summer desinations include beaches, cities, lakes, and mountains.

UNDATED (AP) - What perks would you like from the boss? How
about a snack and snooze? A survey of office workers finds the top
complaint is their work place is either too hot, or too cold. The
top requests are covered parking and subsidized cafeteria food. The
online survey was commissioned by real estate company Blumberg
Capital Partners. The more than 5,000 comments included a request
for a nap area, to catch some after lunch "Z's." Other
suggestions include free popcorn, coffee and fruit once a week.
Another worker's suggestion was on the aesthetic side -- better
office artwork.
